A Dream... (Thursday, April 13, 2006)
I had a very, very long dream this morning. Part of it was some type of Italian holocaust I was trying to escape. Part of it was me going to Lego Land with a European family I was staying with, with whom I felt very close. Part of it was me owning a big hotel in Amsterdam for fledgling European porn actresses (so that they wouldn't sleep in the streets and become "prostitutes".) I guess I have an subconscious sympathetic side for whores/the sleaze. Or maybe I want to their savior. Hmmm... I'm not sure which. But they're not diametrically opposed theories, so it could be both. Anyhow, as I was walking to the hotel I owned, one of the poor misguided whores showed me her brand new boobs with aplomb. And was a little shocked, speechless, (and conflictually turned on) and I muttered a few words to the tune of, "very.., good....nice" and walked away.
BUT,
The topper of them all is that there was some type of spring break thing going on and someone came up with the great idea to fill a gasoline transporting truck with margarita mix, tequila and triple sec. And this big tanker truck had a cement mixer of sorts in it and we were going to drive around town and give free margaritas to everyone. And people thought it was a great idea to ride on top, but you know how slick and smooth it is up there. People were sliding off the top while we were going on the freeway. It was terrible. And then there was a meeting and I stood up and said, "Look everybody, this SOUNDS like a good idea, and I understand what you're trying to do here, but this is very dangerous. I mean, I could hardly stay on top let alone a drunk bunch of girls in bikinis! Who's driving this truck anyway?" And someone shouted, "Sean Penn is driving this truck" to which another guy said, "Charlie's right, if HE can't stay on top and HE thinks it's a bad idea AND Sean Penn is driving, I definitely think this is BAAAAADDD idea." And so Sean Penn walked silently away and the booze truck was never talked about again.
True story._or... true dream I mean.
